Warrior
Protection Warriors receive a broad talent-tree update focused on smoother Rage generation, stronger defensive scaling, and more meaningful choices for both single-target tanking and AoE threat.
- Painkiller: New three-point Protection talent. Your successful blocks heal you for 33/66/100% of the damage blocked. Cannot occur more than once every 3 sec.
- Blood and Thunder: New two-point Protection talent. Your Thunder Clap has a 50/100% chance to affect every target with Rend.
- Unbroken Rage: New one-point Protection talent. Damage that would take you below 35% health, or damage taken while at 35% health, is reduced by 20%.
- Glyph of Shattering Throw: New Minor Glyph. Shattering Throw is now instant and usable in any stance, but no longer removes invulnerabilities and cannot be used on players or player-controlled targets.
- Shield Specialization: Increases your chance to block attacks with a shield by 3/4/5/6/7%, and has a 20/40/60/80/100% chance to generate 7 Rage when a block, dodge, or parry occurs.
- Vitality: Increases total Strength by 3/6/9%, Stamina by 6/9/12%, and Expertise by 3/6/9.
- Improved Defensive Stance: While in Defensive Stance, all spell damage is reduced by 6/12%. When you block, parry, or dodge, you have a 50/100% chance to become Enraged, increasing physical damage by 10% for 12 sec.
- Shield Mastery: Increases block value by 20/40% and reduces the cooldown of Shield Block by 10/20 sec.
- Damage Shield: Whenever you take damage from or block a melee attack, you cause damage equal to 15/30% of your block value.
- Concussion Blow: Stuns the opponent for 5 sec and deals 0.38 times Attack Power damage. Deals 600% increased damage against targets permanently immune to stuns.
- Titan's Grip: The damage penalty is removed in Tier 7. A 5% penalty returns in patch 3.1, increasing to 10% in patch 3.2.
- Critical Block: No longer a Protection talent; trainable at levels 60/70/80. Successful blocks have a 20/40/60% chance to block double the normal amount and increase Shield Slam's critical strike chance by an additional 5/10/15%.
- Focused Rage: Removed. Its Rage-cost reduction is replaced by the increased Rage generation from Shield Specialization.
- Sweeping Strikes: Now has 10 charges, up from 5.
- Mortal Strike: Maximum damage from Improved Mortal Strike increased from 10% to 35%, and now extends its healing reduction effect instead of lowering cooldown.
Hunter
Hunters gain a new way to place Explosive Trap at range, improving their ability to contribute controlled area damage without requiring enemies to stand on top of them.
- Trap Launcher: Explosive Trap: New ability. Launch a fire trap to a nearby location where it explodes when an enemy approaches, causing 10% of Ranged Attack Power plus Explosive Trap's direct Fire damage. It then burns all enemies within the radius for Explosive Trap's periodic Fire damage plus Ranged Attack Power. Only one trap can be active at a time. Not usable in Arenas or Battlegrounds.
- Flare: Exposes all hidden and invisible enemies within 20 yards of the targeted area for 20 sec.
- Animal Handler: Now also regenerates 1% of your mana.
Mage
Mages gain a raid-wide haste cooldown that provides a Bloodlust-style offensive window while using a shared lockout to prevent stacking effects.
- Time Warp: New raid spell. Increases melee, ranged, and spell casting speed by 30% for all party and raid members. Lasts 40 sec. Affected players receive Temporal Displacement and cannot benefit from Time Warp or Bloodlust again for 10 min.
- Temporal Displacement: New lockout aura. Cannot benefit from Time Warp or Bloodlust.
Paladin
Retribution Paladins gain more consistent access to their active Seal damage-over-time effect, while a new glyph turns Hand of Reckoning into a situational damage tool.
- Glyph of Reckoning: New Major Glyph. Hand of Reckoning no longer taunts the target and can deal damage to untauntable targets.
- Holy Vengeance / Blood Corruption: Crusader Strike and Divine Storm can now apply Holy Vengeance from Seal of Vengeance, or Blood Corruption from Seal of Corruption, in addition to auto-attacks.
- Fanaticism: Additionally, your melee attacks have a 20% chance to reset the cooldown of Divine Storm.
Druid
Druids receive two new glyph options: one focused on Feral gameplay and one purely cosmetic option for Balance. Restoration Druids also gain control over their Tree of Life appearance.
- Glyph of Omen of Clarity: New Major Glyph. Omen of Clarity has a 100% chance to be triggered by successfully casting Faerie Fire (Feral). Does not trigger on players or player-controlled pets.
- Glyph of Stars: New Minor Glyph. Moonkin Form now appears as Astral Form, conferring all the same benefits while appearing as an astrally enhanced humanoid.
- Tree of Life Appearance: Restoration Druids can hide the Tree of Life visual while keeping its gameplay benefits.
- Frenzied Regeneration: Now regenerates 1% HP per 1 Rage in PvE only.
- Faerie Fire (Feral): Additional threat generated in Bear and Dire Bear Form increased by 10%.
- Swipe (Bear): Threat multiplier increased to 1.65, from 1.5.
- Bear / Dire Bear Form: Threat bonus increased to 65%, from 45%.
Rogue
- Poisons: Poison duration increased to 24 hours.
Priest
- Glyph of Quick Pain: Causes Shadow Word: Pain to deal periodic damage faster based on your haste rating, while reducing its duration accordingly.
